Personal Development: My journey so far

If it wasn’t for being encouraged and introduced to reading personal development books I wouldn’t be on the brink of where I am today.

When introduced to the network marketing company I partner with there was a lot of talk of reading these types of books and listening to the CD’s, I didn’t take much notice at first but little did I realise I had already started doing it on my own!

My first couple of reads included “Shy People Can be Successful Too” by Adele de Caso and “Feel the Fear and do it anyway” by Susan Jeffers. Both now well-known authors and popular reads and both down to earth and realistic and something I could completely resonate with being a bit of a shy girl! Moving on with my reading I found that I really enjoyed and connected with those that were written as stories and loved “The Greatest Prospector in the World” by Ken Dunn these just show you how everyday actions can accumulate into something great.

More recently I was recommended “The Tops 5 Regrets of the Dying” by Bronnie Ware – beware this could lead you into making decisions before you have completely thought things through! I know I did!

If you’re not a reader, the majority of these are on CD’s so you can listen to them, but I recommend that everyone has a go at reading one or two, you don’t realise how much they help you – not just in business but in everyday life as well, I personally have come a long way in the last few years and credit a lot of it to my personal development.

There is no excuse to hide behind the expense of it – the library is free to join! Good luck and hope you find one or two good books to read and help you develop.
